I have recently been experiencing a little soreness and small "bump" at the incision (betweek scrotum and anus) where my male sling was implanted about 12 weeks ago. The incision was competely healed six weeks post surgery. I first thought I was just having a little residual tenderness left over from the surgical incision. Now I can feel and see a little red bump on the incision site. Not really painful just a little tender like a boil or pimple would be.
Has anyone else experienced anythink like this? If so how did you treat it? I am still wearing pads 3-4 per day but have never had any skin irritation or infection of any kind. I change pads regularly and practice good hygine.
If it does not clear up in the next couple of days I intend to get an appointment with my uro as a follow up to planning for an AUS implant and will have her check it out.

Hi Tall guy,

Swelling and tenderness can be a sign of an infection. Don't wait too long seeing your urologist.

Good luck

Yes, thanks!
Say the Uro today and it was just scar tissue. Hard to explain why it got tender. After three days and some Neosporin it the tenderness/soreness subsided. The bump is still there and the Uro recommended rubbing with some mineral oil or baby oil and it may go down over time.

Appeared to help but gradually returned to pre surgery condition.
Back to 3-4 pads/day, stopped drugs, plan for AUS next winter.
Latest PSA 4/1/10negative.
