I am a new member to this forum and was fortunate to find this sight through a fellow prostate cancer survivor who suggested this site. I had an implant on March 29th of this year my 58th bd at Roswell Park Cancer Institute after my recovery the routine "activation" was implememented on May 19th. I found the pump almost impossible to operate! with a couple of trips back to Roswell, but mostly my own discovery i was able to facilitate the pump. I found little or no support from Roswell i was fortunate to reach a lady at ams my unit is the lgx 700 three piece prothesis. I was informed by "Elizabeth" that it takes time that there is healing to be considered that i would gain what i had lost i had abour 4.75-5.00 inches before surgery and now its 3.5-3.75 inches barely enough to get the job done so to speak. It takes up to 3 to 6 mos sometimes a year to realize your fullest potential, now i'm not looking for miracles i understand that i have been through a couple of surgeries, but i am hoping for a little more length. I am currently pumping up acouple of time a day to the maxium for 45 minutes to an hour as precribed by the manufacturer should i be using the ved to further remedy my shortcoming? are there any precautions i should be aware of? If anyone has any advice please let me know i have read so many positive accounts about
this prothesis i hope soon to be one of many success stories concerning implants thanks
