hello again - I tend to get creative around the time of a full moon...
I am working on my third car design and would like your help.
It is called - THE FACES OF PROSTATE CANCER
One of the setbacks of PCa awareness is the hidden aspect that men don't want to talk about "down there" or problems with ED and incontinence, etc.. that is why the HW site is so great!
so....
if you would like to participate.. send off to me - via email link - a jpg of face-only shot ( or favourite avatar) and username/nickname you would like me to use...
so I could put a face to prostate cancer ... "hey, that guy looks like me..." reaction....

you can see the dummy setup at the site at:
www.sponsafier.com/#/sponsafier/tool/299839

you can even pick what location you would like your name and pix !

.. and as I put on the car already ... the faces of prostate cancer... we can beat this together "

all the best
BRONSON

P.S. if you cannot see it,, will try to do a pdf file so you can see the concept

Bronson, if my face were on a car it would already look like it had been in a roll over and was a certain write off.

However, the idea is terrific. You are so creative!

Now, if you decide to design a garbage truck, have I got the face for you!

Sheldon and Dale - thanks for the support -

-putting a face on prostate cancer can be very scary and empowering at the same time... when I am asked about the blue pins I wear - from pinkwings.com and from prostate cancer canada network - their eyes light up - they know someone with PCa or have been tested - and they want to share their story.. and do so willing...

... the recent new reports with actors and politicians having PCa have helped...

-this story relayed to me last night .... but, in the case of our town of Peterborough, Ontario - a big ALL PINK event was set up with the local hockey team and everything was in pink to highlight breast cancer awareness - the uniforms - hockey sticks - signs.... but when he called the hockey centre to ask why they have not had a ALL LIGHT BLUE night for prostate cancer awareness, they hummed and hawed and said they would get back to him ... that was a month ago and no response...

-am still looking for faces to put on the car ...

hugs

That is overly generous David, and thank you for your supportive comments and kindness and acceptance of me and my partner, Steve.

When faced with crises we all react differently - by being advocates, volunteers, documentors ( check out the numerous journey blogs here at HW), researchers, just regular folk as well as lurkers, who are doing their best to cope.

We all have different G*d-given talents and often have this reduced time-line threat kick start a new journey - not just one of dealing with prostate cancer - but of the journey of self and how wonderful life truly is.

all the best to one and all.
hugs

well, did not get the response I wanted .. but hey.. everyone has their own approach to our open or anonymous or safe we want to be in the interconnected wacky world ( the G20 and G8 meetings are in Canada this weekend - Toronto is a fenced in fortress - while Muskoka is basking in porkbarrel funding for venues not visited by either delegates)... so the response was sorta expected
... so when given "lemons" - you make lemonade... so turned the concept around to have just pix of me!
- different states of health and years and feelings... sorta ->the five stage of grief? - faces of having prostate cancer...
1- denial
2- anger
3 - bargaining
4 - depression
5 - acceptance
....came up with the concept after the fact - sorta fits ( today's word is "sorta")- sometimes art happens subconsciously...

subliminal hugs
BRONSON

- will add web link once it has been accepted - it was rejected once for being inappropriate maybe the [censored] label that is part of their clip art?.. or maybe my bare chest with tattoos? ... have removed the [censored] clip art and resubmitted it ...)
-it was rejected twice for being inappropriate - so deleted the bare chest shot and the wonderful anger shot ( who isn't angry at PCa?)...
