Took the second catheter out this morning at 7 am. No blood on this one.
Following the nurses advice drank a liter of water by 8.
Peed 100cc. Slight burning and fairly good stream.
8:45 finished second liter of water.
9:10 peed 150 cc. Still slight burning and fairly good stream.
Hopefully, no problems this time.

Ray, I am hoping that the 2nd time is the charm for you.

Keep drinking lots of water, it really helps.

If the burning keeps bothering you, your doctor can write you a script for pyridium, it will take the burn out, though watch out, it dyes anything it touches orange. It's a cheap med, generic, and works well. You might just need it for a few days while you make the transition from catheter to penis.

Thanks David. So far so good. Volume is increasing and flow is good.
Everything is MUCH better than the first go round.
