With feelings of both trepidation and hope, I underwent robotic assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy on July 31, 2007.

Today marks three full years of remission!

So, we're having a kind of “Woo Hoo!” moment here in Idaho that we wanted to share.

I know many of you are sitting before, during, and after treatment decisions with varying degrees of concern, hope and satisfaction.

Perhaps these results will boost the hope of many that diagnosis containing the dreaded “C word" is not a certain death sentence.

To Healing Well including Peter, Great Moderators, and Forum Members: Thank you, sincerely, for continued support over the years!

A special "thank you" to our beloved former moderator Lee (a.k.a. Bluebird) for taking time to welcome me following surgery and to begin introducing me to great forum members.

Wishing you all the very best today and always,

Barry (a.k.a. Idaho)

Thanks for all the well-wishes!

Goodlife: So true... Surviving is a good thing!

Dale: I live in Boise and visit the Spokane area a couple of times each year. If you'd like, send an e-mail from my panel icon (left) and if you're in that area during my next Spokane visit, and we may be able to get together with Jim (a.k.a. Biker) as well.

Bronson: 'Gotta love them zeros, however they get here!

Lana and CJ: Yes. 'Happy for your success as well. I'm following good leaders.

David in SC: Thank you, kind Sir. We're having lemon meringue pie today to celebrate!

BARRY ~ thank you for sharing this special day with all of us.   Your posting touches our heart!!!   It truly is a special bond that we have.   Each and every day ~ our thoughts and prayers ~ ripple out to touch a life.    We love you and your family ~ dearly….   J Chirp~Chirp~Chirp   J Hugs ~ Rainbows ~ Sunshine The   Power   of Hope   ~   Positive   Thinking Stepping Stones to HealingWell   It only takes “1 “Word”, “1” Thread, “1” Posting ~ to “Help” a friend. There are so many people “here” willing to share their lives with others.   I am so happy to see “Newbies” come onboard taking that 1 st step to join us! It’s a big step ~ but their lives are changed forever.   We (all of us) are part of the HealingWell family forever ~ even as we find ourselves moving on to other stones in our path to a new “norm” of life.   Leaving on our path information that is valuable… the sharing of All of “Our Journeys” … each one being uniquely our own.   Woo~Hoo   from the 3 of us!!!!!

Hi Barry

Such a milestone on your journey.  If not for the wonderful people here at Healing Well including our great friend BlueBird we would all be in a sad state of affairs.  I am just past my three year period and things are doing very well also.  Hope you have many good years on your journey.

Great news! I know 3 years is along time. What is your interval for check-up (6 months or annual)?

Tony: The years are passing quickly and this is a great forum! Thanks for continuing to be a "mod" tongue

Doting: Yes... I'm on occasionally. I've been traveling lately, more than in the last two years. You have been very kind to me as well. Thank you for being a "mod" too!

Wishing both of you and families the very best,

Barry
