A call to the surgeons's office this a.m. gave us my husband's first psa reading after his rad. prosty surgery 7wks ago.  Love calling him a "real zero" now!  Next reading November, but til then we want the Zero club song, secret handshake, membershipship perks etc. as soon as you can send them! ;-)  Now to regain some function, energy and peace of mind...

Zero Club membership has its privileges but it also has its cost. Send each member a good bottle of scotch, beer is not recommended especially for leakers, it passes right thru without stopping to change color.
Age: 67 at Dx on 12/30/08
PSA 9/05 1.15; 8/06 1.45; 12/07 2.41; 8/08 3.9; 11/08 3.5 free PSA 11%
2 cores out of 12 were positive Gleason (4+4) and (4+5)
Negative CT scan and bone scan done on 1/16
Robotic surgery performed 2/9/09 Dr Fagin, Austin TX
Prostate weighed 57 grams size:5.2 x 5.0 x 4.9 cm
Posterior lateral lesions measuring 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.0 cm showing focal capsular penetration over a distance of 3mm in circumference.
Prostatic adenocarciroma accounts for approx. 10-20% of the hemisphere.
Gleason 4+4
both nerve bundles removed,
pT3a Nx Mx, Negative margins
seminal vesicles clean, lymph nodes: not dissected
continent after 5 months
2 months PSA test 4/7/09 result <0.1
5 months PSA test 7/9/09 result <0.1
8 months PSA test 10/9/09 result <0.1
11 months PSA test 1/21/10 result 0.004
14 months PSA test 4/19/10 result 0.005

As for the secret handshake, it is easy to identify a fellow PCa traveler. We are the ones who go into and use the stalls to pee.

Congratulations to your husband! My husband is 2 weeks out from surgery and is hoping to join the club in 4weeks. Hold a place for him, please.

Here are some of my stats:
Age:54
Father diagnosed with PC at age 72 - wasn't contained to prostate when found in 1992.
My PSA rose from 3.2 to 5.1 over the course of 1.5 years with Free PSA at 25% for the last two tests.
DRE showed no evidence of tumor but Uro thought my prostate was a little large for someone my age
PCa diagnosed 4/6/10 after biopsy on 4/1/10
1 out of 12 biopsy samples was positive with 5% of biopsy sample cancerous
Gleason 3+4
Da Vinci surgery on 6/1/10
Pathology report shows cancer confined to prostate and all other tissue clean
PSA tested on 7/15/10: Zero Club membership card issued (trial membership with 90 day renewal)

Doctors have a secert handshake in prostate cancer...it's called a DRE...;-)

Advanced Prostate Cancer at age 44 (I am 48 now)
pT3b,N0,Mx (original PSA was 19.8) EPE, PM, SVI. Gleason 4+3=7

Treatments:
RALP ~ 2/17/2007 at the City of Hope near Los Angeles.
Adjuvant Radiation Therapy ~ IMRT Completed 8/07
Adjuvant Hormone Therapy ~ 28 months on Casodex and Lupron.

Status:
"I beat up this disease and took its lunch money! I am in remission."
I am currently not being treated, but I do have regular oncology visits.
I am the president of an UsTOO chapter in Las Vegas

Husband DX on 6/30. Age 56. PSA 5.8 and 1 month later 7.9. Biopsy showed 6 out of 12 Cores Adenocarcinoma. 5 = 50% - 90%, 1 = 10%. Perineural invasion present. Gleason 7 (3+4). RRP scheduled with Dr. David Samadi Mt Sinai. NYC. 8/26.

:-) :-) Of course I cannot join this club, unless a blanking miracle happens, which would be totally acceptable. But, being a drive by quasi-member isn't to bad either.
Dx-2002 total urinary blockage, bPsa 46.6 12/12 biopsies all loaded 75-95% vol.; Gleasons scores 7,8,9's (2-sets), gland size 35 normal, ct and bone scans appearing clear- ADT3 5 months prior to radiations neutron/photon 2-machines, cont'd. ADT3, quit after 2 yrs. switched to DES 1-mg, off for 1 yr., controlled so well, resumed, using intermittently, pleased with results
