Uro reviewed latest PSA results, dropped back down from 6.18-4.64. He says its still elevated but would have been more woriesome if it had stayed elevated or increased. He wants another PSA in three months. If it goes lower, fine, test again in three months,  if it increases at all he will be scheduling a second biopsy. I am getting my next PSA test Oct 28th, I will have the results the next day and see the Uro on Nov 22nd. So between now and Oct 29th, I am putting it out of my head. (as best as possibe :)

Another QUESTION? I can't seem to update my signature, seems like there is no available space? Am I missing something?

Any discussion of a PCA3 test? (If you stop smoking, you can delete that from your "signature" and will have an extra 6 or 7 characters!)

Hi,
As already suggested a PCA3 test will help. Having done only an 8 core biopsy, it is easy to miss where cancer may be lurking.

newtopc,

sounds like another biopsy may be in order, an 8 core would be easy to miss cancer even with a small prostate gland. it took 3 biopsies spread over roughly 18 months before my pc dx was confirmed. you certainly don't have to have a PSA above 4.0 to have cancer. for your sake, i hope you dont.

newtopic, you aren;t missing anything. The Admin changed signature lengths to 4oo character count last week. You're gonna have to trim it down some, with abbreviations and maybe shorthand to get it to fit. Sorry, it's an across the board update.

The PCA3 test is not available in Canada yet, not sure why. perhaps because the medical community still debates the value of the standard PSA test. Thanks for the input on signature line I have fixed it, getting the laser treatment first week of November to stop smoking, I appreciate your suggestion Medev!
