Until recently, this was working fine. I'd request email notification of replies and it worked. But now I seem to be getting multiple email notifications for the same thread. If 5 people reply, I get 5 emails.

What's up with that?

Mel, seems to me that's working the way it's supposed to. You should be getting an email notice when each individual who is posting replies to a watched thread. I can't think how it could know to distinguish otherwise.

It never has before. I would get ONE email notification, go to HW, and perhaps see a number of responses.

Anyway, for whatever reason, the problem seems to have resolved.

I could see where you thought this is a problem, if the thread is very active and there's, say, 5 posts in a 5 minutes period, but what about the ones that might get one post a day in the reply, how would you know about the second and so on? Maybe I am not understanding the problem (maybe, heck, I don't understand the problem... blush )

Perhaps I'm not being clear. All things seem to be back to normal and here is what normal is:

I post (and hence subscribe) to a thread. As soon as a response occurs, I get an email. If more responses occur, nothing else happens.

I see the email and check out the thread. I can read ALL the replies at that time (remember, only 1 email was sent to me). AFTER I read the responses, any additional responses result in ONE email sent to me again.

That's what seems to be happening, and that's what I want.

Recently, for a day or two or three, I was getting an email every time a response was made. So I might get 5 emails before I had a chance to check out the thread.
