All Ziggy meant, I believe, is that no matter how much a woman studies on men's health issues, there are certain aspects, some mental, that are particular from a man's vantage, just as it is with women and their health issues. A man can be loving and caring towards the woman in their lives, and learn all they can to help and support them, but there are still issues that only another woman would totally appreciate and understand. Ziggy, if I read you wrong, please correct me.

No Dave that sums it up very well. In addition let me agree with a post here that the earlier biopsy could have just missed the more virulent sample. Most here know the normal 12 needle biopsies are just hit or miss. John T is a big believer in color dopler I personally would advise that or the more accurate saturation 3 D biopsy.
Let me say lastly that AS is a decision based on Quality of Life first. It's based on the PCa patients view of his life and never from a womans. That may not be politically correct here but it's still true. It will never be favored with the Get IT OUT OF ME NOW!!!! crowd. So be it . I've said for the last 3 years these will be looked back on as the days of massive PCa over treatment. Time continues to prove that increasingly correct. Is it foolproof? Can men doing AS have bad outcomes? Sure but the old gold standard of radical surgery isn't doing all that well and has become somewhat tarnished as time goes by. There aren't any guarantees with this disease or life in general. It's up to each man who has it to decide on what's best for him. The fact that more and more men have begun to support and do AS the last 3 years speaks for itself. There's also many less invasive treatments as mine in the pipeline that will be more common soon. Are one of these worth doing AS for until so. I say as a man with now 2 negative biopsies, who has never had any incontinence, whose only lasting effect is maybe a 60% loss of semen and whose worse PCa treatment experience was a catheter for 4 days I answer Hell yes!!!
PS James this is now my 2nd official post to this thread if that's all we're allowed before its locked.<eg>
