Just wishing a Happy Thanksgiving Weekend for the Canadian members of HW - ( we get the benefit of having Turkey in October and then tag along with our American cousins in November for another helping) - haven't worked out how to include pomegranate juice into the cranberry sauce ...
-whether our numbers or bad or good or holding - we all have something or someone to be thankful for - those special people in our lives who make this struggle bearable and worthwhile ...
- oh yes, and a special thanks to Peter and the Moderators ( still sounds like a rock group) for making HW such a wonderful supportive place.

thankful hugs

Thanks Bronson, and a Happy Turkey Day to you too.

We're headed out to our farm south of the city (just 30 acres, but at one time it was a real farm) to cook the bird and have assorted relatives come and vacuum the table. I expect we'll see endless waves of geese and hawks heading south. Smart birds. It was about 80F here today, but the snow will be along soon. Brrrrrr!

Nice to see you posting, David.

Hope you and the rest of the Canadian brothers and sisters have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And you are so right, no matter what our situation is we all have something to be thankful for every single day. Maybe next year I'll hop on your bandwagon and celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving-of course, by Christmas we would really be sick to death of turkey!!

All the best to you and Steve,

Holiday hugs to Michael, Sheldon and David and Renee - I have a few quickie recipes for turkey leftovers - even won a prize way back in the 19870's with a turkey stew recipe -
-as Sonny says - "every day is a bonus" .... and thanksgiving day is a bonus with turkey ....

Happy holiday to the Canadians on the forum. My dad and his family came to the US from a small town outside Montreal. Dad took me with him few times to visit his aunts, uncles and cousins. The good old days. A Canadian dollar was worth $1.10 + in US dollars.
