I suppose I am welcoming myself, as somebody else put it, to the club nobody wants to belong to.

I live near Danbury, CT and was diagnosed with T1C just 2 weeks ago.

My sig has the fun facts, and I will post and see if they appeared.

What I have discovered in 2 weeks has profoundly improved my perspective on humanity. I have met and spoken with so many people - men who having been willing to offer boundless encouragement and support. I know in a year or so, when my health has improved, that I too want to be there to offer similar friendship and support to those who need it.

In advance, let me thank you for your help. I have been reading alot of what this board has to offer and appreciate that people take the time to post.

Dave (lots of fellow dave's here....is this a genetic precursor smilewinkgrin )

Hi, GTO. I am also in CT. Hartford area. I had DiVinci surgery at Hartford Hospital last year. I would be happy to discuss with you if you would like. In any event, good luck. BB

Welcome Dave,  Our stats are similar and chose the robot as well.  You have to check the box at the bottom of ech post to have the sig appear.  My surgery was in August and I am doing very well in each dept.  Good luck in your choice and the journey to come.

Dave, just chiming in to welcome you to our "home" here. So you live in Danbury, CT...I live in Northern Westchester so we're practically neighbors.

Where are you thinking of having your surgery? My husband did the robot dance in March 2008 and used Northern Westchester Hospital Center for his surgery. His uro/surgeon is the head of the prostate cancer center there.

Again, welcome to the best PCa forum on the Net!

Sephie, I will most likely have Dr. Bruno at Danbury Urology do the DaVince thing at Danbury Hospital in late December. If he convinces me that he knows how do do the procedure with the nerve sparing techniques (http://www.paactusa.org/index_files/Page331.htm) BTW>>>THIS IS A MUST READ FOR PRE-OP GUYS LIKE ME), then he gets to play Edward Scissor hands on me.

Paul....got your email and you should have my response
