This site seems more for the physician, and my own doc advised against too much web browsing on PC, but it's obvious I ignored this advice.
An article today is confusing, I'll copy and paste the text in the hopes that someone here can explain "sporadic pc".
DUSSELDORF, GERMANY (UroToday.com) - In 10,349 patients with prostate cancer (67% sporadic, 24% familial and 8% hereditary), a radical prostatectomy was performed. The 10-year progression-free survival was 49%, 46% and 45%. The 10-year overall survival was 86%, 84% and 80%. The 10-year cancer-specific survival was 93%, 91% and 87%.
The authors concluded that familial and hereditary prostate cancer could be more aggressive compared to sporadic prostate cancer.
