Greetings again my bros.  I wanted to get some input from some of you that are knowledgable and concerned with rehab for "Jr".  Is it true that if you dont use it you lose it?  Atrophy?

My doc says to pump once a day for blood engorgement and that is very difficult for me as I have 2 jobs and 3 kids and not a lot of time and privacy.  The injections are working well for me and I was wondering if it is ok to use a small amount(like 1.0 instead of the 2.5 I use for intimacy) 2-3 times a week for penile rehab instead of pumping.  It is quick and not nearly as time consuming...  but is it safe and how do I avoid getting scar tissue.  I read somewhere applying pressure for 5 minutes at the injection site can help prevent scar tissue.

The injections are a great answer for PCa post surgery ED... my wife is 10 yrs younger than I and is very happy with injection results.  Too good to be true?

Thanks for all your responses and input.  This forum has been more enlightening than 10 dr visits.  Fight on brothers.

Are you bragging or complaining?? tongue

You must have a problem but I can't figure out what it is...Just kidding, just kidding!

I would not try the low-dose injection thing without talking to your doctor..maybe "therapeutic " Viagra to help blood flow...Have fun... yeah

Rejoicing would be a better term.   My wife of 24 years and I have a great marriage/relationship in every way.  She is awesome.

I will check with my doc thanks.  The Viagra makes me feel "icky", the Cialis does nothing.

...dont want to be addicted to "hard" drugs   (lol)

I think that there would be a problem with the injections that often. Badcard, the easiest way to do the pumping is just do it in the shower are you clean up. You can do that either in the morning or evening. I use the sex shop pump in the shower and while I shave and brush teeth. It is fairly quick and easy.

Good luck, and I do agree the injections do work great.

How often are you doing the 2.5 for intimacy? If its a couple times a week - that might be enough for rehab. Or just doing the pump for five minutes once or twice a week would help/probably be enough.

I've heard from guys who use injections 2 to 3 times a week as part of their penile rehab ... because the injections bring fresh (oxygenated) blood into the penis; versus VEDs that do not bring in fresh blood. I've followed the penile rehab advice in Dr. Mulhall's book and taken low dose levitra/viagra five nights per week and used injections 1-2 days per week. Recently, I've been able to stop the injections and just use full strength pills ... but the side effects may drive me back to injections!).
PSA 2007 - 2.8; 11/24/2008 - 7.6; PCa Dx 2/11/09; age at Dx 62; RLP 4/20/09

Biopsy - Invasive moderately differentiated prostatic andenocarconoma; G 3+3=6; PT2C; No evidence of Seminal Vesicle or Extraprostatic Involvement; Margins clear; Tumor identified in sections from prostatic apex. 70 gram prostate. Continent after removal of cath.

ED - Trimix works well; levitra @ 90%
PSA - 7/31/09 <0.06; 12/1/09 <0.06; 3/29/10 <0.06; 8/4/10 <0.06

I must have an aggressive doctor. Penile rehab is supposed to be his specialty. Right now I am on 5mg Cialis daily, I am supposed to pump twice a day and inject twice a week. I do a half dose (.5 milliliters) of Bimix for Therapeutic reasons. If it is time for intimacy then I use 1 millimeter (1cc). I must have a bad leakage problem to need 1cc.

I have had no luck at all with the pump when it comes to intimacy. The bands have to be so tight that it is very uncomfortable and at times painful. The shots are fast, easy and defnitely work.

I am starting to get very concerned about the ED. It has been 5 months since surgery and right now nothing works except the shots.

Just started on BIMIX. First results were very good

Hey Woodworker,

Hang in there ... 5 months really isn't much time for the nerves to repair.

Nothing much worked for me until after one year.  Then there was slooooooow improvement.  Starting at 18 months full strenght pills started to work.

Can you define what you mean by "icky"?

Kingriver hang in there it is WAY early. Has your doctor suggested a vacuum pump device to use with the meds?

Welcome and sorry you have to be here but there is good info and guidance in this brotherhood.

It's difficult to maintain a positive outlook when you see no improvement with ED, but thanks for your posting RCS it does help to know that positive gains can be made with time.  I have been on Bimix and had minimal reaction at .5cc, my Dr. switched me to Trimix which has slightly improved reaction but still not usable. Trimix definately causes more ache/pain in the penis but I am going to keep using.  I look at it as an investment into the future, not getting much of a dividend now, but just maybe will pay off in the future.  As far as fibrosis, Dr. Mulhall is very convincing in debunking the theory of fibrosis and injecting. I know this link has been posted here before, but I will post it again for those that have not seen it, it's worth watching.
