Happy Thangivings to all!! My husband just purchased the Erec- Tech 1000 (O.T.C).. Does this device work? Is the manual pump better than those operated by batteries? I just wished he had told me about it before buying it. Device looks complicating..Thx for input, and bless you all!!

This one:

There's not much too it..The battery operated ones have more parts idea

It should work OK...Have he tried it?
Odds are he'll need to shave the heck out of the base of the penis so that it'll get a good seal.

Snuggleup:

I have used the Erec Aid by Osbon for two years plus.  It works well.  Follow the instructions carefully on the video provided and soon he will figure what works best for him.  The importance of it's consistent use is to provide a regular surge of blood flow.  It's called penile therapy with a premise of "use it or lose it to atrophy".  My wife and I went out to look for the best.  That was what we got.

Hope all works well.

i hvae been using it since January of this year after my prostatectomy....its simple to use and i basically use it to help stretch muscle ligament and prevent atrophy.. sometimes can be painful if too much suction is applied but you get better with practice

That's a good unit, as much as he needs, most likely. Learning to use it and not having overgrown expectations will go a long way in helping him to make full use of it. Only thing I can say is a little shopping around could have found the same basic thing for around $90. devil tongue

Snug,

It does look like a good basic pump. First time I have heard of it. I was a bit amused by the hyperbole in the manufacturers description:

"The Erec-Tech is by far the premier Vacuum Therapy System for the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction and BEST IN THE WORLD TECHNOLOGY --BAR NONE!! "

.. but hey that's advertising. Just about all pumps are the same -- this one looks no different really.

Over about a year and a half of pump use I have gleaned some good info from this site and others on some pretty good Upgrade Equipment to add to your basic pump.

The first upgrade would be to get the Osbon ergonomic rings instead of using the cheap (or not so cheap) Silicone rings. Do a search here for Osbon Ring and get more details.

The second upgrade, which is kind of nice because it adds some measure of comfort to the constriction rings (which is a perennial complaint) is the Foam Penile Sleeve. Kind of gimmicky looking but I use em all the time now. It acts as a support (for the always present swivel joint), a cushion against the pinching rings, and acts as a mild constriction ring in itself (but u still need 1 or 2 Osbons over it to keep things inflated). Franktalk, org has a paragraph or two on them -- and it does allow yous to achieve the missionary position -- at least for a little while.

Fun stuff ... keep at it!
