Just had some good news today. A friend who had open surgery 5 years ago just had the all clear with an undetectable psa reading.
Really pleasing to know that some cases can have happy outcomes and it seems he was continent from about week 2, because I had his hand me downs pads and liners !! (Unused I hasten to say)
All the best from England. (sub zero temperatures as well)

19th month: PSA <0.1
Only issue at this time is ED

Long term zero runs are always good to hear of. Tell him congrats for us..

4/07: PSA 7.6, 7/07 Biopsy: 3 of 16 PCa, 5% involved, left lobe, GS6
9/07: Nerve Sparing open RRP, Path: pT2c, 110 gms., all clear except:
Probable microscopic involvement of the left apical margin -GS6
3 Years: PSA's .04 each test until 04/10-.06, 09/10-.09- Uh-Oh, next in Feb.
