Hi. In my search for an answer to the connection between Muse, cialis, and alcohol I came across this website today and decided to join.
I had some transurethral Muse left over from a previous prescription and hadn't used it for over a month. And I also have a new prescription for daily (5mg) cialis.
On Tuesday I put the Muse (1000mg) to use.
But because I didn't like it that much, I started taking the cialis on Wednesday. I took 2 tablets.
What I forgot was that I shouldn't also take alcohol. Well, they say you shouldn't take large doses. But as I am not a regular drinker,  even a small dose of alcohol could seem like a large dose to my system.
The alcohol that I imbibed was Baileys, in my coffee.
I wonder whether that I why I woke up on Thursday feeling dizzy. And that dizziness has lasted into today as well. I even had more Baileys yesterday evening.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem?

First, welcome to the Forum. I take Cialis once in a while and have been known to take a drink the same evening as it. I have never noticed any side effects that I could attribute to mixing Cialis and alcohol(190 proof shot to a 6 oz. glass of tomato juice, usually). That said, remember that each of us reacts differently to things, so my experience doens't necessarily carry over to what you can expect.

Thank you. I still feel dizzy but hope that abstinence from Baileys and from cialis for a nother day or so will see some improvement.

I can suggest that there was a day-after a bottle of wine, where I felt like a Bear with a sore head. I got a Trial-Pack of the three types, and I think it was Cialis that I had used that night. ( to the usual - no-avail )

I know that I thought that I would not try to 'drink and dive' again !

Try the Cialis by itself.. I think that it is Cialis whose effect can last a day.. So it may have affected your blood pressure ?

If you hae concerns, my suggestion is that you discuss the matter with your primary care physician.  I take both Muse and Cialis and I drink copious amounts of red wine.  No negative side effects.  Each body is different.  Unless the Muse and Cialis were prescribed for this present time, you probably shouldn't be taking it.  If it's old and outdated medication that may cause problems as well.  Stop in to see the medical professional who knows you and your health history best.  We don't.  Best of luck.

I am grateful for your comments. Today, having had no alcohol and cialis for two days, I feel better.
It is interesting - that comment about Muse and cialis being outdated. They were prescribed recently, though not at the same time.
In what way might they be outdated?

You mentioned that you'd taken Muse and/or Cialis that was "left over" from a previous prescription.  I'm not a mind-reader so can't determine if when you say "left over" you mean from a prescription filled a year ago, two years ago or whatever.  Medicines, like food, have "use by" dates for certain good reasons.  I was thinking that if you'd taken some medication beyond it's "use by" date it might have been compromised in some fashion and therefore contributed to your problem.

No problem, Mavica. The prescription was not that old. Less than two months in fact.
And I kept it in the fridge.
No, I doubt now that the Muse had anything to do with the dizziness. The dizziness has gone. So I really think that it was the combination of cialis and strong drink. I've learned a lesson.
