Had first SRT treatment yesterday afternoon. One down and 36 to go... The radiation doctor is using "tomo-therapy" on me which takes daily CT scans and meshes them with previous CT scans to somehow improve the accuracy of hitting the target. Does anyone else have experience with this form of SRT? Also, my PSA yesterday is .3, up from .1 where it sat from April to August, and then 1.5 three months ago. I guess this confirms the recurrence and it is a good thing I am beginning the SRT journey. Wish me luck...

Hope all goes well for you. I had Calypso markers implanted, trying to accomplish the same thing. My radiation therapists knew about the daily CT scan routine & equipment - had good things to say about it, but that there weren't many around.

Kark,  You and I are on the same schedule. I now have one days experience.  My equipment is a Varian Rapid Arc and it makes intermittent CT scans to help insure they are hitting the desired targets.  Sounds very similar to yours.  Hope everything goes well for you.

Dx 2/2008, age 71, PSA 9.1, G8,T1c. daVinci surgery 5/2008, G8(5+3), pT2c. LFPF, good QOL. PSA <0.1 for 2 yrs. PSA rose to .2 at 30 months, started SRT 12/15/2010.
