I have posted this before but only had two replys with their input on this so here it goes again....

I have been taking the nightly Viagra with no noticable effects. Tried Levitra 3 times with no noticable effects.  I did try the Viagra prior to RRP with GREAT results!   SO>>>>  I see that there is life down there and things are waking up...I am only 3 months post surgery so I know I am way ahead of schedule on my recovery....But I want to get back to normal again...I am thinking with where I am now with erections and all  If the Viagra would work like it did prior to surgery I would be back to normal again......  Will the ED meds start to work better as more healing takes place with the nerves???
age 44
RRP 9-28-10
gleason 3+3=6
pathology report all clear
11-1-10 PSA 0.02
bladder control 3 weeks post cath. removal

It will probably get better with time. No one knows how much better it will get. I did not get results till after a year. Are you pumping yet. That is a way to get Jrs attention. The usual order is pump, pills, then injections. You have youth on your side and will probably in a bit of time get something going donw there.

Best wishes.

Natural44,

You will see in other threads that at least my uro tells me that the meds are for blood flow to keep willie from just dropping off, or becoming a hopeless case. I am 14 months out from DaVinci, and have been taking Cialis in the daily dose (5 mg) since about three? months out.

To be honest, I've not seen anything get better, but at the same time no parts have fallen off.

Once I am back into my ultra-high deductible in January, I'll seriously consider if the Cialis is worth the cost (yet again).

Natural44,

Sheesh, 3 levitras? That's nothing. Try 500 times and still no real effect. Now that's dedication!

Hello friend,

You are being (quite naturally) overly anxious...    However, you already realize that at 3-months post surgery you would be ahead of the curve.  Be patient.  Most typical recovery starts accelerating only about now (after several months) but takes numerous more months.  Its likely that 6-months from now you will have satisfactory results, but even then you might still be improving for months after that.

Someone mentioned "pumping."  Keep in mind that you don't need to purchase a pump to get the same results; you have a satisfactory pump attached to the end of your arm.

Wanna learn about optimizing your outcomes?  Here's a helpful link to a webcast presentation by Dr John Mulhall from Memorial Sloan-Kettering, who is perhaps the world's leading expert in post-RP sexual function recovery.  It's worth the roughly 75 minutes of commitment it takes to watch each segment.   LINK

Natural- Are you getting any nocturnal erections yet? Mine started about 8 months out from surgery, thats when I believe you will start seeing some improvement. I am now getting nocturnals most nights, about 95% erect. Waking mum up is the problem now.................lol...................
