Saw a new friend posting from below:
"Hello all,

Brand new here but have read virtually everything you have posted. Quickie background on me: diagnosed with PC 4 years ago at 49; robotic prostatectomy Jan 07; AdVance sling installed Jun 08 - failed; now considering either AUS 800 or Virtue sling; leaning toward AUS though just leaking 2 pads/day max but I want it to stop.

My question is about orgasms with the AUS. Since I assume you can't squirt urine at climax anymore, what happens? Is it uncomfortable? Just feels odd?

You guys have been awesome with all your helpful info but haven't seen this addressed or missed it.

Thanks!"   (Godric)

Welcome to HW.
I'm not able to offer any comments on the AUS, but since that might be down the road for me, I'll be watching the thread.
Again, Welcome -

Godric, another welcome to HealingWell. Can't comment about you AUS. That is a good question. I bet someone will jump in with an answer. If you don't get a reply that is specific in a day or so. Start a new thread with title AUS question. It will get specific attention.

Hang around and don't be shy. We are all borthers in the same journey.

Hey Godric if you look into the AUS thing, contact Dr. Bob Baladament in Michigan a Uro-surgeon whom has a little twist on this for making more certain of no leaks. He uses two bands or such in the plumbing system, mostly others use just one and having it precisely tailored as to be not to tight or to loose is vital to having a no leakage system. He did a seminar on it here in Michigan and had a patient show up whom had one for like 10-12 yrs. and he discussed his useage. Note these systems may last 10-12 yrs. +-, then you might have to have it replaced cause of wearing out-break down of silicone and such (fyi) and no more bike riding at all (causes damages they say). Takes time to heal like 2 months after surgery, the surgery can be done quickly. Do a google search on him, the guy is also really good friend of Dr. Fred Lee and have offices opposing there area.
Dx-2002 total urinary blockage, bPsa 46.6 12/12 biopsies all loaded 75-95% vol.; Gleasons scores 7,8,9's (2-sets), gland size 35, ct and bone scans look clear- ADT3 5 months prior to radiations neutron/photon 2-machines, cont'd. ADT3, quit after 2 yrs. switched to DES 1-mg, off 1+ yr., controlled well, resumed, used intermittently, resumed useage

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and great info! Learning as much as I can about others' experiences will help me make the best decision.
