My med onc at Mayo Jax prescribed Neurontin to combat the numerous "hot flushes" I have been experiencing, especially at night. When I picked up the Rx, it stated that Neurontin is used "to help control seizures in adults and children and to relieve nerve pain associated with shingles."
Of course, I wondered why in the world would I need anti-seizure meds.
I went to internet and plugged in "Neurontin for Hot Flushes in Pca" and found that Mayo did a study a couple of years ago using Neurontin as primary treatment for the flushes and had significant success. For you brothers on HT and having the "hot flushes" you might want to check this out with your docs.
I'll let HW know how the drug works out. The Old Sailor
