I've not yet had to have HT, but I have been noticing a lot of irregualrities in my body's temperature regulation lately.
I get night sweats (have to change my T-shirt or the pillow/pillowslip) but I can just as easily get really cold at night. Also during the day time I may suddenly have to fling off my jumper or sweat shirt, but equally may feel freezing as though I have bare arms despite being wrapped up warm. I also seem to have days when I produce a lot of body odour (something that was also noticeable after surgery, which I put down to my body processing the drugs in me).

Has anyone else experienced anythng like this, indicating that perhaps the treatment (surgery/RT) has casued this? Or is is something altogether different which I should see a non-uro doc about? (My understanding is that there is a part of the brain that regulates temperature etc, and I assume imbalances in the bodies chemistry effect the way it works - as with HT)

I can detect no pattern related to eating, drinking, activity level etc (The heating has been working fine. And I've not been wearing the wrong clothes for the weather or anything like that) My wife says I don't feel particualrly hot or cold, such as this morning when I felt so cold that I could hardly bring yself to get out of bed

As ever any level of response is welcome.

I have not read about these symptoms as a result of surgery or radiation.

Perhaps you are just coming down with something as those symptoms could be due to common illnesses.

I am still getting over a nasty bronchitis and I had those symptoms, especially the night sweats/chills.

How long has this been going on? I guess if it last a week or more you should see your family physician.

After I had my surgery, I began to have hot flash's, both day and night. They continued strongly for about 2 years, and still now, 3 1/2 years later I still have them, but usually during the day or just as I wake in the morning.
