anxiety out the roof

I'm 12 days post op. Last night I developed unbearable gas pains. I still have tem today. Anyone have any suggestions to rid myself of this unbearable pair. My guts are roaring. OUCH

Walking can help.  If you can't get outside, then walk around the house.  Also, if  you have something like Gas-X or a similar product available, you can try that.  Has your digestive system returned to normal?  Are you constipated?  If it doesn't go away, I wouldn't hesitate to call the doctor's office.

For immediate relief: Get down on the floor on your knees like you've lost a contact lens. Face just above the floor, rear end up in the air. Slowly pull back until your head is higher than your rear, then slowly slide forward again until you're kissing the floor. This creates sort of a gentle bellows action that can help move the bubbles out and relieve the pain when the bubbles are trapped.

Like the other responder wrote, walking and taking OTC meds like Gas-X can help, as well. The key is to move things around gently and let nature take its course.

you might try Acidophilus or a probiotic if the gas-x dosn't work.
