My dad is super depressed on the zoladex, just stares into space, has dark thoughts, I don't know what to do!
But for possible treatments that are alternatives we are exploring

HYPERBARIC OXYGEN and VITAMIN C injections. We ordered the book "outsmart your cancer" which outlines 12 alternative therapies and how to evaluate them, so we hope something can come of it.

I have to say he is almost like he used to be and has a pep in his step when he comes out of the oxygen treatments....my dad's metastasized prostate through bones

50 Yrs. old at DX (51now) Feb, 2010 w/6.6 PSA.
Biopsy 04-24-10, Gleason 3+3
4 of 5 cores left side inv. 4 of 6 rt side
RRP 06-07-10
16 days post-op, catheter out.
Gleason upgraded to 3+4
Totally continent @ 8 weeks post-op. (!!!)
1st post-op PSA @ 12 weeks - <0.05
2nd " " " @ 6 months - <0.05

thanks guys, this site must be such a solace for so many people, I am so glad I found it.
We go to the oncologist tomorrow, we were going to use the book outsmart your cancer for the chapter on key questions to ask the oncologist but it hasnt' arrived yet. We are gonna brainstorm the most important things.
