Elsewhere (on my sticky to be precise) P_elliot asked this question:

"Who knows they are going into PC surgery a year or two before hand ???"

Any thoughts guys? Can't say I've heard of anyone getting things planned that far in advance.

Hey E-Alf if anybody is qualified to elborate on preparation and what to know ahead of time you are the grand Pooh-Bah knowledge on that. You are more qualified than my past uro doc, as to knowing and discussing the nuiancses of what to expect and prepare for as to going through surgery. Really, your length disortation on that posted herein...will not be outdone anytime soon!!!! That was full disclosure on steriods.

That would be wise planning, there might be some A.S./W.W. guy whom maybe even took casodex for awhile and waited 1-2 yrs. plus before seeing the (lol) Partin' table. One could also enjoy those things you might miss, with a renewed vigilance. I know I would.

Or is this thread more of the Kreskin question...can you fortell you are doing surgery???
Of course some very wise guys might look at pathology with H.G. PIN or other parameters and map a course like Magellan I can only guess...I am not an M.I.T. graduate (of course whom would have guess that-LOL).

I do possess a Phd. in PCa Chemistry-  Piled High on Drugs (P.h.d.): flomax, cipro, proscar, casodex, zoladex, lupron, DES, coumadin, supplements, DCA...and further studying!

I would expect that anyone who does A.S. with marginal numbers should expect radical treatment as a probability, even if they hope it won't be. In that case, yes, plan for the worst, hope for the best.

In that case, yes, you might have a couple of years to plan.

But, truth be told, the context of the question is altogether missing.
