Chicago held their Groundhog's Day observance yesterday in anticipation of the blizzard. I've just been outside shoveling four foot drifts from my driveway. I don't think any Illinois groundhogs will be venturing out of their burrows today.

I can't get to my backyard. A huge drift has the back door blocked shut, and there are eight feet drifts between our house and our neighbor's houses, so I cant get through at all. Snow is two feet deep on our street, and I don't know when we'll see a plow.

A thread a few weeks ago asked if PCa made people feel old. I guess my answer is yes, but this blizzard really makes me realize I'm not young anymore.

Tony,

Yes, however we like to use ours for forcasting the weather...All throughout the world, woodchucks are eaten as delicacies; high in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D and protein, groundhogs are an integral part of the Algonquian tribes’ diet, as well as many other Native American tribes on the East Coast of the United States. Groundhogs are said to taste like curry.
