I went for my second PSA on Jan 14, 2011 and got more good news.  <.1!!! I have elected to go every three months for the first year. It has been 4 months and I have some issues that I have read are normal but wanted to share. I still leak when going from sitting to standing but seems to be getting less and less. I got a vacuum pump and just cant get things to work with the tension rings. It either hurts or is not erect enough. To me its like pushing wood with a noodle....I still use it to keep blood flow into my penis. Cialis has little effect, even at 20mg. Although it is better than nothing. Could Viagra have different effects? I have not had intercourse with my wife in four months and she is understanding but I am getting aprehensive as to when. I could use some help with how to approach sex now as not only am I semi hard but am affraid of urine discharge. Thanks for letting me share and I look forward to some good advise. Thanks.

Congratulations on the <0.1!

As to the other topics, yes viagra may have more effect than Cialis it sure did for me. Cialis didn't do much for me at all during early recovery, my first usable was with 100mg Viagra, and today I'm using either 25mg of "V" or 10mg of Levitra. Levitra seems to do as well with less side effects.

There is more to sex than penetration (never would have believed I'd say that before surgery ;-) Bonding is a good thing and both of you can have the big "O" without your being fully erect if you can get into play mode, just a little fooling around did and does wonders for our closeness.

If all fails move on to trimix or bimix injection. Most of the guys including me who have used them are getting good results.

Remember that sex is not something that you do to your wife, but something that you share together. My wife and I generally talk about sex in the morning when there is no chance of actually doing anything. (off to work)

Yes, I leak, but urine is sterile and so we put down towels and carry on. There are many ways to please a woman that have nothing to do with an erection. My biggest issue has been my communication with her about my needs. It used to be easy for her to "read" my arousal but now I have too talk much more about what stimulates me. I am learning and she is helping me.

First of all Congratulations - the first step in fixing PC
I had problems and now use of pump.
It takes a little time to learn how to use it.  Take your time pumping up - don't be too aggresive.
The biggest problem is pumping to hard and your penis hurts.
When you put on the ring, it can be tight - make certain you pick correct ring too tight it doesn't feel good.
If ring is too tight, then the feeling in your penis will be dulled and tough to achieve an orgasm.
I tried using two rings - Osbon d and c ring to keep it hard.
I have since found out the D ring alone works okay and even though the penis isn't real hard both wife and I achieve orgasm.

We tried injections so I know about urine discharge but urine and semen are still sterile so should not be a problem only though to peeing when you orgasm.  Wife was turned off by that and injections (9yrs ago) weren't as good as now.

I would like to say every time is fantastic but its not.  It will never be the same but at least both my wife and I enjoy it.

Just remember, my wife said the most important thing was that I am here.   If I didn't have operation, I may be 6 foot under.  Sex is what two people do to communicate their love.  Its not necessarily the penis but other ways can be just as enjoyable to each of you.  Its more work but you will do fine.
