As I've mentioned before, I have SRT plans in place. The process will start within a week of my next PSA test, assuming that test increases like the previous ones.

I was going to do it this Tuesday (the 15th), but due to some severe back problems, I've decided to delay the next test until the 22nd or at the very latest the 1st. This is because it would be too painful to even try and go through any contortions on the radiation table.

On the positive side, I am noticing significant improvement in my back pain. I had to use a cane for a few days, but that's no longer necessary. I'll have a better comparison on Monday, my relatively long workday. I saw a P/T person on Friday. She said it appears to be a disk problem (although no proof without an MRI). She gave me some specific exercises to try. Next session on Tuesday.

Hopefully, this improvement will continue. I actually thought of going to the gym today, so that's a good sign.

David -- you and I may be doing our PSA at the same time. Good luck to both of us!

No head in the sand here.

If I am not able to do the radiation for 2 weeks, I want to get my PSA as close to the radiation time.

If I can't do the SRT until say March 5, what is the difference if I do the PSA on the 15th or the 1st? It changes nothing, other than giving me the latest figures.

yep mel, my blood draw is still on the 22nd. by choice, wont get the results until i meet with my uro on the 28th. then, depending on things, plan to re-group and figure out what is really going on.
