Well guys the "GFMPH Southern Style" is just 2 months away!  We are getting very excited about the event.  We are in full gear getting things ready for the event.  For you new guys.  A short discription of what GFMPH weekend is.  "Good for Men's Prostate health"  something we can use to get things we want from our wives.  An example would be if you want this new "toy"  you say I really would like to get this new "toy" you know it is GFMPH.

Well the gathering is for the guys here on Healing Well.  Mostly the guys will hang around my house and get to know each other in face to face conversations.  We will eat, drink and be merry.  Have not locked in on the outing for the guys because I think the visits with each other is the most important part of the gathering.  We will have a short workshop on some meds, possibly on pumps and if anyone is interested discussion on injections.

We will have an official meeting with documentation which will qualify our non-profit organization to make this tax deductable.

My wife has secured a second home for the ladies to hang out as well.  She is planning to take them on a plantation home tour.   We will have one of the meals with spouses.  Have not zoned in on where just yet.

Hopeing to do Crawfish biol and BBQ on Friday evening at our home.

If you have specific questions about the gathering you can shoot me an e-mail.  My e-mail is active in my profile.

At this time the number looks to be about 15 members planning on attending in about 3 wks I will start looking for more firm numbers to know how often I will need to go crawfishing!

Oh my location is in Louisiana just across the river from Baton Rouge.

Hey Cajun Jeff! Count me in!

I'm smiling already. This will be great. We're making plans to visit NOLA for a few days after the event. Why not?

I can't wait to compare notes with a couple of other attendees. Where else can you have face-to-face discussions about these topics? Of course the educational aspects are the primary reasons we are all going.

Hey! Maybe we can have timed Olympic events! Watch out guys! I think I'm a serious contender for the longest pee event. I've broken the 2 minute mark!

See you in 8 weeks. I'll be training.

Jeff,
Drop me the location of the Hampton or whatever hotel you think is closest, most atractively priced ( all right, cheapest ), and has a vibrating bed.

Hey Cajun Jeff,

We are getting really excited about this trip. The DW, has been busy studying the books and maps and with the great help of your DW has put together a list of places to visit. I've noticed that a lot of the activities in New Orleans seem to center around the consumption of calories - the more fat loaded the better. It's going to take a lot of exercise to work off the pounds from this trip. I hope my new sling holds.

Goodlife,
I hope someone qualifies for that event. I sure don't. (shortest, maybe)
By the way, with my new, low-pressure spray nozzle I can now make snow angels complete with wings, banners and trumpets.
I'm going to miss the snow when it melts.

See you in the Bayou,

Jeff (not quite LFPF but close enough for farm work.)

I am sorry that I don't have a catheter to donate for the Explosives Class at the meet this time, but I guess that is a good thing. I do still have night bags that I hate with a passion that I have to hook up every night.

Still hoping to make the meet, I think it will come down to the wire for me.

What are the dates of the gathering?

Why I Like The South

Louisiana

A senior citizen in Louisiana was overheard saying ... "When the end of the world comes, I hope to be in Louisiana."

When asked why, he replied, "I'd rather be in Louisiana 'cause everythang happens in Louisiana 20 years later than in the rest of the world."

 Texas

The Sheriff pulled up next to the guy unloading garbage out of his pick-up into the ditch.  The Sheriff asked, "Why are you dumping garbage in the ditch?  Don't you see that sign right over your head."

"Yep," he replied.  "That's why I'm dumpin' it here, 'cause it says: 'Fine For Dumping Garbage.' "

Georgia

The owner of a golf course in Georgia was confused about paying an invoice, so he decided to ask his secretary for some mathematical help.

He called her into his office and said, "Y'all graduated from the  University of Georgia and I need some help.  If I wuz to give yew $20,000, minus 14%, how much would you take off?"

The secretary thought a moment, and then replied, "Everthang but my earrings."

Jeff - youi are so excited , you got the dates a little mixed up ( or is that a Cajun calendar?)
Somebody said...
Steve: The date for the GFMPH is Friday April 15 - Sunday April 16th.

isn't it fri-15 - sunday-17?

- mickey1955 had suggested I join him on a road trip, but I feel 21 hours travelling in an RV ( a two day trip) would be too difficult for my back ( I have enough pain to cope with journeys to Toronto (1-1/2 hour))
- am having fun looking at the different air flights - some of the cheapest ones arrive at 12 midnight ( I wonder why!?)
-GFMPH is still in my thoughts

Cajun Jeff,
This sounds like an event that people need to attend, but unfortunately I cannot. My wife is an accountant and you know how busy they are at the end of tax season. And since I have basically been unemployed since Jan.09, she is the bread winner if the family. Yes, I'm a "kept "man!
I have been to New Orleans one time for New Years and it was one of the best times I have ever had! The food was incredible, and that was the first time in my life I have ever been able to wear shorts and a tee shirt in January.
Some time during that weekend I will raise a glass and toast to the people down there. Everyone have fun and enjoy!

Jeff, my cajun brother, just saw this update and had to get in on it.

Man the day can't get here soon enough. Already have my route planned with a two day stop in the panhandle on the beach. Timing it so that I arrive at the NO airport just in time to pick up Clearwater Cowboy and his lovely wife then on to your place.

Don't give away my spot in the driveway. Wouldn't want to have to try and negotiate my way through the pecan grove with the 40' beast.

Still up in the air as to whether or not Lynn can attend. Still waiting on word from Mayo and MDA about clinical trials and we are pursuing the "Compassionate Use" route to get her some of the newest drug for her cancer.

Just biding my time and waiting to get up there. Still going shrimping 3-4 days a week trying to bring a mother-lode with me to contribute for dinner, snacks, breakfast, etc. So far the darn things won't cooperate.

Counting down the days,

Sonny

Jeff -
I have been having fun looking at the airfares down to Baton Rouge and New Orleans

- it is silly that it is cheaper to visit you than for me to fly off to Newfoundland or British Columbia.

- and with the host of online booking sites, you can have the same flight (exact flight!!) with a price range of over $200.00...

-and I found a cheap one ! ( only $188.00 return and then add on the duties and taxes..) - so I bit the bullet and booked it !

Hoorah! ( first vacation/plane trip in 25 years) - It must be a long time , I used the word "plane"...

Looking forward to checking out the swamps, gators and distance Canadian cousins ( Cajun = deported Canadian Acadians), and maybe cooking you up a mean dinner ...

hugs,
BRONSON

Hi Bronson,

I was just on the same website. How is it my flight leaves an hour later and gets there an hour earlier for $80 less? Just kidding.

I know what you mean about cost. Dee, me and my youngest flew to Seattle last summer from Detroit for less money than flying from here to Montreal.

Still planning. Have fun.

Mike

MIKE:
I use the www.igougo.com/ site that gives you all the online booking agencies at once -layers of pages - so you can cross-reference and get the best flight.

note: I am not a spokesmodel for IgoUgo - saving money is GFMPH ( the money I save goes to pee pads)

I am still blown away with all of this - the land of Chef Paul Prudhomme ! -

Bronson, You are something! I learned a lot today! I didn't know about the brutal Expulsion of the Acacians in the 1700s.

"...many other Acadians, would find themselves welcome in Louisiana which was then owned by Spain. Though no Acadians were sent directly to Louisiana by Lawrence, many did make their way there. The transfer of Louisiana to the Spanish government was done secretly in 1762. As a result of this secrecy, many falsely believed they were relocating to a colony under the dominion of France. Regardless, the Acadians were allowed to continue their lives with little change once there."

Clearly the folks of Louisiana were friendly and Busley is right inside the line of Acadiana. There's a mess 'o history in them parts. Thanks!

Hey Cajun Jeff, Make sure to give Bronson some time in the kitchen. He is definitely Chef worthy.

Can't wait!

JEFF AND JEFF:
thanks for the encouragement
- Just last week, I lost out after round one for a new Food Network reality TV show contest up here in Canada
- the producer loved my recipe and my submission ( especially the pix of me being beaten up by my Punch ( of Punch and Judy fame) puppet) ... but he found my youtube online interviews too boring since he wanted a wild-and-crazy guy...
- oh well, next year I will submit my "Ontario's Best Meatloaf"
- hee hee hee ( or should that be Haw Haw Haw)
:-)

habanero hugs,
