Ok guys, this rudeness has to stop. We are beginning to have some serious problems with people being rude to newcomers, second guessing their motives, posts, decisions and such. This site was formed as a support site, that's it's primary purpose and that purpose still remains focused on support. Agree or disagree, that's what the owner wants, and that's what he will get. All the other stuff is secondary to that, including being rude to people because you don't agree with their decisions, or second guessing what they say. And, worse, I can see some cliches forming to gang up on people. I don't know if this is just sorta happening or deliberate, but none of it honors the purpose of this Forum.

I've received 3 emails today telling me that HW had become to unfriendly, one word was 'snarky' for them and they were going to stop actively particpating. I have read thru the past few days and I agree with them. There is no place on this Forum for bad behavior or manners. I try , along with Tony and Doting Daughter, to allow as much leeway as possible, but there's times when things have to tighten up and I'm gonna start now. If I step on your toes, sorry about that, but you shouldn't have them out here where I can get to them. So, it's back to editing and deleting, without explanation, until the tone and mood of this Forum returns to it's primary purpose- support. Since this is a notice and not a discussion, I'll lock it to prevent the inevitable discussion that would follow. If you really feel you must make a rebuttal, my email is always open.

James C,
I have the same observations as you and I could not agree more. Hopefully a call for peace will be enough but if it is not then if we have to start changing the memberships status' then that's fine by me. Respecting others is very important at a support group and when the posts stop doing that it's cause for moderator action.

This site has become more busy and diverse than ever. That's a good thing and a bad thing. Folks here have as a general rule of thumb been one of the most heartwarming support group members I have encountered in an online forums. These folks deserve to be treated respectfully as do new guys when they face this diagnosis. People are no less intelligent because they choose to do something that someone else wouldn't. if anyone disagrees with that I can list a few other boards that might be more suitable for them.

Let the peace prevail.
