I'm 2.5 months post robot surgery. Had major leak problem but now about 90% controlled. Only 1 pad a day and just damp after I get home. I use nothing in evenings and nights. On ED med no results. I can have orgasm with proper stimulus however, difficult to work with a mini me. My doc here in cincinnati wants me to try some injections for several reasons. One of which is to get more oxygenated blood into my penis to promote faster healing and the other to get some progress. All you injectors what's the ups and downs (no pun intended ) in using the needle.

Hey Pumper, Welcome to Healingwell

Oh man! You should look at Franktalk.org Many of the guys here are on that site and tend to speak more "frankly" on the subject.

I'm a Trimix guy as ED meds don't work for me - all the side effects without the benefits.

First the down side: You're sticking a needle into your penis! Did you catch that? Here, let me repeat. Into your PENIS! - It makes me woozy just thinking about it.
Scarring - It makes me woozy must thinking about it.

Now the up side:
1) If you use an auto injector you don't see what's going on and it really doesn't hurt.
2) For most guys Trimix works wonders. I am not having much luck with it and just got a double strength prescription filled. Some time next week I will be trying out.
3) It is not very expensive. Depending upon the strength $50-80 for about 20 shots.
4) Some guys can perform like p*rn stars.

If you want more graphic details, not suitable for mixed company, go to the site I mentioned above. It is run by, Paul, one of the guys here. He has collected a lot of information on a subject that most people are too embarrassed to discuss.
He's our hero.

ED meds didn't do anything for me except big headaches.

Tri Mix works well... Some guys have a lot of pain but not all guys do.

Pumper, You really want to visit Franktalk.org. There is more info on that site about injections than you would ever want to know.

I think it is great that your Dr wants to start you on injections so early. There is a theory that starting the injections will wake up jr and get him back in the game. I have been injecting for over a year and very pleased. In my case the injections did seem to start uup the engine. Sometimes the pills are sufficient now that I practed enough with the injections.

I am a chicken about needles but this is a no brainer. No pain and very quick. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. My e-mail address is active in the profile.

personally i'd drawn the line at injections. Prior to my surgery, before I kne I wouldn't have ED, I had already decided that it was either natatural or pills, nothing further.

Hi Pumper, I struggled until I found trimix, it has helped me immensly.  I prefer it to the usual ED drugs because I don't get headaches or crazy dreams from it.  I tried the auto injector but it didn't provide enough control.  Be careful with intial dose most go too high and have issues.  In my opinion its a miracle drug for folks in our situation.

My doctor started me on Trimix. I had a lot of pain from that. Some of us can't handle one of the chemicals theys use in it. I am now on BIMIX. To say it works well is an understatement. As long as the Doctor's office provides a bit of training, it is no big deal. I use an auto-injector. Once in a while I might feel a tiny sting for almost 1 sec. That is the only pain. My only regret was not starting sooner.

Thanks again for all the responses. You guys are more than helpful and encouraging. I'm in the health care
field and believe me a little knowledge sometimes makes it much worse than it is. My specialty is Cardiac, so Urology is totally foreign to me. I have 2 great Urologists here in Cincinnati and all of you guys with the real world wisdom you distribute. God Bless us all and thanks again.
