Hi all,
I've been using caverject for 5 weeks now.
Ist dose was 2.5 in the nurses office, got about a 3rd of an erection.
Last dose was today at 7.5, still about a 33% (and a red flush on the side of the penis where I injected)
I had both nerve sides saved but not getting much result with the needle.
It's 16 months since the RP.
Any advice please?
Thanks
Mike

Mike, Not sure what is going on with your partials. With that much happy juice you should have wood for hours. I would suggest that you talk to your uro. I am wondering if you are injecting correctly. There are a couple of post here that give specific instructions that could possibly help. By the way I am using Caverject as well. There are several other drugs that may work better for you. Tri Mix seems to be the most used here and have quite a punch. Some guys also use BiMix. I have tried all 2 of them and got the same results. I do know that Tri Mix can be mixed with a stronger punch.

I would also recoment that you sign on to franktalk.org that site is specific to ED. There is great info on that site that is sure to help you out.

Best of luck in your search for wood.

Keep watching this forum, James C can tell u all u want to know about injections. Trimix works great, u just have to get the right dosage in the right place and it should work for the vast majority of users..........
My age= 52 when this all happened.
DRE=negative,
PSA went from 1.9 to 2.85 in one year, biopsy ordered,
Second biopsy on 08/14/08 found 2/12 cores positive for CA on R side, 1 core=5%CA, other core=25% CA, Gleason score= 6 both cores,
Bilateral nerve sparing robotic surgery on 09/11/08, pathological stage T2A,
No signs of spread, organ confined,
6 0's in a row, still use trimix for ED

Go here for my basic overview of the Penile Injection Process. I'd check your technique against this one, and especailly study and try the plump and prick technique before giving up or changing things.

I have been using Bi-mix for three years with good results.  I use the Plump and prick method James described.  It took about ten injections for me to figure out how much medication.  Don't give up.  The rewards are worth the effort.

I don't know about caverjet, never tried it, but trimix works great for me. If you give up on the caverjet, give trimix a try.

Spotty,  I have had seemingly intractable ED for over 20 yrs and have a little experience with several different injectables.  The combination that works best for me is a Bi-Mix of PGE-1 20mcg/ml and Phentolamine 1mg/ml.  I also tried a tri-mix with papaverine 30mg/ml, phentolamine 1mg/ml and PGE-1 10 mcg/ml but it was not nearly as effective.  Caverject worked about as well as the tri-mix.  The two mixtures I mentioned above are the most popular combinations at the pharmacy that I use.  For me it was just a little trial and error so to speak.  Do take a good look at James instructions, as I found them very helpful.

Today I used the plumping method pre-injection.
Using a 7.5 dosage, I got about an 80% erection but, the head was still spongy even though the shaft was fully hard.
But, that hardness only lasted about 20 mins, though I had a semi erection for the next couple of hours.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, Looks like your getting better. Keep trying and when you talk to the Dr. office ask about the possiblilty of Tri Mix or Bi Mix. There is also another mix called Quad Mix but I dont know anyone here that uses it. I do know that the Dr can also make a stronger Tri Mix if need be so that you dont need to inject so much to get results.
