Suppose I want to do a search only for those posts from a speecific user?

I don't see how to do that.

When I use the SEARCH function, I don't see how to restrict the search to say all posts by WIDGET in our Forum.

Hi Mel. Hope today is a good one for you.

I think the best you can do (I just tried it) is to use the Google search above, include the users Name and then the term you are seeking.

For instance, I did my own search (BobCape psa) and it came back with results showing a,list of my posts and my reference to psa.

Wow- very interesting Bob and Mel...as to the cyber storage vaults on all of us. No wonder they invented the internet, the thought police could do you alot of damage under the proper scenario's, let alone embarassment police or taking something out of some context and having a field day with it. Just an observation, can be useful to review things too. I would imagine some of the docs are having a blast reading the laypeoples commentaries.

To the left of "Post New Topic", you can sort by Started By.  It may be a bit cumbersome to page down to your entries, but it can be done.

I don't see that option, Jerry

Mel - the page that lists just the threads for Prostate Cancer.
At the top of the list to the left side there is a blue "pancake" for Post new Topic. To the right there is a square dropdown box that defaults to Last Comment. If you hit the dropdown, it has other options.

Two of you said LOOK TO THE LEFT of the Post New Topic and that's what I did. It's to the right.

Talk about tunnel visions!!

Thanks,

To speed things up I play with the link displayed and enter the page number I want, rather than tediously hitting enter, enter, enter.

For example: I replaced the number 1 with a 75 here: (p=75) to find the 75 page which shows topics started by compiler.

http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=35&p=75&x=25&ord=s
Link

It goes much faster that way.

You certainly know where to find the most (and only) important topics.

Mel,

Sorry about that.  I'm not sure why I typed left...PC has affected me more than I think.

I did read it that way.
I reread what you wrote and I'm still
not sure if I read it wrong, however.

We need an English teacher here!!

Anyway, it's a moot point.

Thanks for the information and I'm sure we both agree that I should have noticed where it was anyway.
