Well, for starters continence seems to be all good. I pee so fast that no way I can multitask and other than having to open my urethral cuff ( sometimes I have forgot) it seems like the fix that I wanted.
However, things have not gone textbook, there was pain that started the day of activation. The pain appears to me to be caused by urethral irration from the cuff squeezing on it. My Dr. said " this is not the usual response and to keep an eye on it". THe pain subsided after a few days but has never completly gone away. No other AUS guy has reported any pain and that worries me as well. It seemed to me i was getting better but I was still concerned, especially because i really like my new bionic part that allows me to, like Jeff (Worried Guy)  said, wear grown up clothes.
Last week, on my 4 week activation aniversery, I started having pain on urination, a new development. I went to my local GP so I could get tested for a UTI. Office test showed clear but with a trace of blood and culture test will be back today. So, last Friday I when back on the condom cath and leg bag and I have deactivated the AUS. I am thinking about keeping it deactivated all this week to let my urethra rest or heal or whatever, sort of a "reboot" I guess. Side efects, now side effects from surgery to fix side effects, now don't that beat all.
