My wife just found out this morning, that my immediate next door neighbor, a real nice guy, has just been dx'd with PC.  The poor guy has already dealt with cancer twice, one was a stomach cancer and the other I believe was in his lungs.  At one point, his wife and him were dealing with cancer at the same time.  He had a serious heart issue around the time that I was having the Ileal Conduit surgery in September.
Don't know his stats or his frame of mind.  Wife said that he wanted to talk to me, and soon.  So I will.  For starters, will see what his biopsy showed.  And will loan him my well worn copy of Walsh's book to begin.  Must be something in the water, while he's not on HW  (at this time), that makes about 6 of us in this small area.
His only vice is he likes to mow twice a week, he's already at it, and I am a mow every 2 weeks kind of guy and its against my religion to mow before mid-April.  I will see if I can help him, and steer him here too, thought not sure how much of a computer/internet guy he is, won't hurt to ask.

Sometimes people just seem to get way more than their share. You will be such a great source of information and support for him!

We never told anyone about my husband's diagnosis, outside of family and a best friend. He felt it could affect his job security. But I always felt kind of sad going through it without much support, and trying to hide everything. Anyway, your neighbor will be glad to have someone to talk to who has been there and understands.

I am more of an open book kind of person. This same neighbor has watched over my PC journey the past 2 plus years, and knows all about my 8 surgeries and the radiation problems. He watches my house, and we watch his. He considers our cats his cats too.

I will try to talk to him tommorow, as they are early to bed folks.
