The GFMPH Louisiana style is getting very close.  1 week from tomorrow we will be in full swing.  The number are bouncing near 20 guys.  What a trip it is going to be.

Activities for the Men:

Friday Evening:  Fish Fry with great cajun topping for the fish... This dinner will be outside for the Men and any of the wives that are attending as well.  I guess we should call it the meet and greet.   Have a bit of livations try to learn all the real names.

Saturday Morning:  Men will have breakfast at my house.  The Chef will prepair a special treat. (tatt2man)   Guys if interested will take a short trip to the Rural Life Museum to see how the Cajuns lived.

Saturday afternoon:  Short meeting dealing with issures of PCa.  Q&A  Discussion on ED Meds ect.  Then the fun begins.
Crawfish Boil will all the trimmings.

Ladies will have breakfast at another location and get on the road to St Francisville to tour Plantation homes and have a lunch at one of the homes.   Ladies will also have dinner at a resturant.

Sunday :  open for discussion.  May just chill out and enjoy each others company and bidding good bye to our friends as people are departfing to head home.  :(

We are very excited for the event and have heard from many of you.  I am so pleased that we have decided to do the event here.

Can't wait to see all of you.

You certainly know how to throw a party. The only thing missing is the catheter bag detonation event.
What time is the swap meet?

It looks like you have quite a group. Make sure to have name tags for the "memory (blame it on the lupron) challenged". ;-)

I'll volunteer to write up the minutes so some of us can deduct the trip as a medical, charity, education, business expense.

Jeff
If I have room in my luggage I'll pack the pee pads I can't use. Maybe someone else can use them. (Clearly, my momma taught me to "Waste not, want not.")

Any of the guys that have stuff that they no longer use are want bring them for the swap meet.

I do appreciated the offer for the minute write up. Not sure I mentioned to the guys that you can the gathering can be deducted on you taxes.

I can also bring a TENS unit if any incontinent guys want to try it. I have enough new leads for 6 guys. I spent countless hours zapping my core and doing kegels until I could crush walnuts. Unfortunately it did no good. I needed to be fixed surgically with a sling.
Send me an email if any of you want me to bring it. Otherwise I will keep it home in case the CIA needs it for use at Abu Ghrab.

I am working on refining the breakfast meal and was wondering if any of the guys have talked to you about being allergic to certain food products - such as your allergy to crawfish ....

Sounds like a good time. I try and never miss a trip to Mississippi or Louisiana, however this time I will just be just finishing RT and want to give what's left of this pitiful body time to rest.  Going to Natchez the following week.

When you go to St. Francisville don't miss Oakley Plantantion and if you have time it is worth a drive through to see Hemminbough. The guy that built Hemmingbough was also responsible for restoring Houmas House (I think that is the one he restored) anyway, it was a major project.  You just will not believe Hemmingbough is part of St. Francisville.  Just overlook the fact the Hemmingbough needs a little cleaning.

Jeff,

I hope one or more of your group will take plenty of pics and/or film clips that could be shared with the rest of us. And definitely a full written acount of the meet. It will help the rest of us that couldn't make it. I almost thought I had a last minute shot at come today, but it fell flat. Always room for a miracle. I know you are going to have an outstanding time.

Jeff,
You are right that was Nottoway, and yes, Arlen Deiss did restore that plantation as well.  An amazing individual.

For those visiting the GFMPH Cajun Weekend - I would recommend having a "signed" agreement specifying where pix would be use- ie. just for HW members - at a facebook site for friends only, personal web hosting, etc....

Also, some visiting HW members are still in the PCa Closet - to work and family, etc - and would need a little photoshopping done to saveguard their anonymity and privacy.
.. for example..

does this black bar across my eyes make me look fat?

-don't want anyone NOT to come to the gathering, because of fear of being PCa Outed.

sincere hugs,

tatt2man: I must say I completely agree with you. Privacy is very important. I dont think that this is going to be a problem.

We are almost ready for the gathering. The big Car show is now over and we had a great responce from the gear heads as well as the public. Looks like we broke our record rund raising amount. Will let you guys know later how much we cleared for St Jude Children's hospital in Memphis TN.

Steve thanks for posting that info. Man have I been watching the weather! Looks like we will be fine. Hope the Rain does not knock all the blooms off so the Ladies can enjoy all the great flowers in St Francisville.

The good thing is no one is sleeping outside. HEHE

Today Monday is my last real day for prep. Tomorrow I pick up Tatt2man (Bronson) at the airport.

The fish fry for Friday is on! Hope you get to make it Steve.

Starting to pack. My better half has been studying. She heard you Southern folk wear something called "son glasses". I'll have to check the stores and see if they sell them up here. Not sure why I would need special glasses to look at my kids but, hey, "When in Rome...".
