If you didn't know www.astro.org is the website for Clinical Radiation Oncologist's, the doctors website group is the largest of its type in the world (10,000 members I think). Their recent meeting found this amount of new abstracts on radiations.  Wonder how many docs have read it all or even alot of it????
Plenty of new stuff to be read and revealed is my guess:

Press Release: ASTRO sets abstract submission record for 53rd Annual Meeting

Fairfax, Va., March 29, 2011 - The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) has received a record 2,437 abstract submissions for its 53rd Annual Meeting being held October 2-6, 2011, in Miami Beach, Fla. This year's submissions total surpasses last year's record of 2,320 abstracts submitted, providing for the largest scientific program to date.

(2,437 abstracts to read not to mention last year was a record number)

I would be zapped just thinking of reading 25 abstracts-LOL! Not to mention reading them is a art form, especially for we laypersons. Really difficult to glean the simplistic findings or answers found...sometimes we can glean such as lay people.

And like the AUA 2,400 won't tell us anything new. Almost all retrospectives and all with varying end points and parameters. 99.5% are too short to deliver true expectations in the life of a prostate cancer survivor. I can't wait to get started on the debates...
