I'm on my first bottle of bimix single strength, 30 papaverine/1 phentolamine and would like some feedback from others if possible? I don't think the trimix will work since the gel trimix introduced a lot of pain.

I'm finding a dose of 0.80 is working but that is quite a bit of volume and if I need to up it I'm getting close to the 1.0 needle limit. The compounding pharmacy said they could make up a double strength, 30 pap/2 phen which would likely reduce the volume I need.

Anyone tried the double and the single, what dosage differences did you see and results?

North, I have no experience with the double, but have you read the pump, plump and prick method we use and recommend here? Here's the link to it, along with lots of other ones injection related. Sorry you got no responses for so long, but it's been a busy weekend for a bunch of the guys.

Yes, I did read the plump and prick and will give it a try on my next injection, likely tomorrow.

I also spoke to the compounding pharmacy and will get a 10 ml vial of the double strength once he clears it through my uro. It's another $75 more for the double phentolamine but with reduced volume I should get nearly 20 applications making it pretty much the same price as the single. I'm trying to do 3 injections per week for rehab and recreation along with daily pumping, hoping it will all help in the long run.

I used only triple (30/3) and settled on 0.2ml as my regular dose. I found that constriction worked well for me in getting consistent results. The only time I tried the plumping method, it failed.
No symptoms; PSA 5.7; Gleason 4+5=9; cancer in 4/12 cores
Non-nerve-sparing RRP 7 March 2008 age 63
Organ confined, neg margins. Gleason downgrade 4+4=8
Fully continent
Bimix worked well; now using just VED
PSA undetectable at first but now 0.4, doubling time 7 months
No radiation but ADT coming unless I can slow down the rise...

Not sure if I missed something Piano. You stated that you found constriction worked well and then added plumping failed. Do you mean constriction without using the plumping via VED? What type of constriction ring are you using?

I regard plumping and constriction as two independent aids -- use one or the other, or both together. I got consistently good results with constriction alone, so that is what I stuck with. My failure was with plumping and constriction together, but of course your results may be different.

For constriction, I used a few office rubber bands doubled over around the base at time of injection. Left them on for about 3 minutes afterwards while doing the recommended massage. As for the amount of constriction, I used about 3 bands while injecting, about half the constriction I would need using a pump for intercourse.
