Everyone has provide lots of good thoughts. Educate your mind. I can only add one important thing to your daily regiment and that is exercise. The better shape you are in before any surgery or treatments is to phyically get your body in good shape it will speed up your recovery. Do what you can after surgry or treatments, no matter if you think it is just a little, a little is good.
I offer you my condolences regarding your father, and hope that you will heal from your loss. "Life is good", just sometimes we get lessons we rather not have.
Best to you and your wife (she will be important in your healing, let her help.)
