For those who had SRT:

Just curious how long after SRT you had your first PSA.

My RO now says 8 weeks. Earlier, he said 10-12 weeks, but maybe he misunderstood my question and figured from the time I asked him.

My uro did my first post-SRT 3 months after treatment ended. The RO was ok with that decision. 7 to go, before you know it, you will be counting down on one hand. Hope it was another uneventful for you.

My real post-RT PSA was scheduled for 8 weeks out, but I had an earlier app't with the uro, so it was actually done about 4 weeks out. Both were undetectable (different labs, one ultra-sensitive, the other standard 0.x).

My first was at three months and will be every three months for two years.  Doc said after first year I could drop it to every 6 months, but he prefers every 3. Squid.

Mel, my uro scheduled a PSA at 6 wks (PSA 0.16) and my RO scheduled for 3 months (PSA 0.07) both with same lab.  Based on my results I would say the RO had a better time frame.

3 months was my first post-SRT PSA, and continued at 3 month intervals for a while. I'm now getting checked every 6 months.

Mel:

Looking back I see that I finished SRT and had my first consult 6 weeks later with my Rad. Onc. My first PSA was done 3 months after SRT was completed. My PSA was 0.18 prior to RT and my first post RT PSA was .14 and about eight months later it began doubling rapidly to 3.44 when I began HT last November shortly after. Never a dull moment!
