Last night, while I was waiting for other folks to chat with, I found this website:zerocancer.org/
They have things like a mobile prostate cancer diagnosis van, and a series of road races around the country to raise money.
Here is the story of a key individual on their board of directors: Mrs. Galloway currently works as a registered nurse at the Central New Mexico City College system, where her work includes informing the student population about
various diseases, particularly cancer, and teaching awareness. She directly experienced the impact of prostate cancer as her husband had the disease in his early 50s. Her only son, Jeremy, died at 36 from prostate cancer in 2007, after an 18-month struggle.
Ken Griffey, Sr. is also a member of the board.
I would join one of their road races (sometimes called Dash for Dads) but none are nearby.
