Anyone ever have swelling after a RP. Husbands hands and arms very swollen and face , The think it could be the iv fluid from yesturday surgery of 7 hours, or his acromegaly, blood pressure fine, sugar fine

Not unusual, as the position for surgery is feet up, head down, he was inverted for a long time, so that is probably to be expected. Give it a couple days, sitting in upright position rather than lying down will help. Lots of people complain of shoulder and neck pain afterwards because of the position.

I had swelling of the scrotum and legs that lasted for several weeks. Doctor said no big deal and it did eventually go away without any problem. Squid.

I had minor swelling, and was told it was a combination of the gas they use in DaVinci surgery along with the IV fluid that takes a while to work through the system.

And yes, in a few days the swelling of the scrotum may happen. I wasn't warned about that, and it had me on the phone to the doctor.

How much swelling are we talking about? Is it uncomfortable and / or painful at all?
