Klez asks:

Hi all,

I am a new member and new user of bi-mix and came across this forum. The problem is, that I am having some issues with hypertension, which seems contradictory to the usual effect of a vaso-dilator. But it usually happens in the days following an injection. I was wondering if anyone might have experienced that, or have any knowledge about it, or know where I might get more information?

Thanks.

he also asks:

To James C or others,

I'm new to the forum and to posting, so please excuse that I posted this on another thread, but I have a disturbing concern. Ever since I started on the path of using an injectible (about 1 1/2 months ago) I seem to be having more of a problem with an elevated blood pressure AFTER the fact. I've finally settle into a bi-mix of .4 which has worked well the few times I've done it so far, but may possibly be having a rebound after the vasodilation wears off, which elevates my BP. It may just be coincidental but I'm worried that I may not be able to tolerate the med and it really works well and I sure need it. Anyone ever hear of this problem? (BTW, Caverject in their literature says 2% got hypertension from their study, but I can't find any references to the individual meds.)

Thanks.

klez, welcome to the Forum. I have high BP but have no problems with bimix or trimix. Others may have different experiences with them. As always, our first answer is: If in doubt, call or go see your prescribing doctor to discuss this issue. I hope this can be settled, so you can continue to benefit from the drugs.

Klez,

Not much help from me, as I've not started shots yet. Welcome to HW just the same.

I'll be watching this thread as that is in my future.
