Here's one I've never see before, a salvage RRP. about 3/4 the way thru, they show the radiated, blackened gland being removed. Very interesting procedure, and seemingly no damage to the rectal wall.

Hi James,
In a! The thing that strikes me most is that the prostate does not appear to have all that much damage from the radiation. I have searched all over the internet for a picture of a radiated prostate and this is the first I have seen. From what has been told to me I guess I expected to see some hard, blackened, fibrous, nut like lump. I believe that my own radiation treatment has been a failure. Thus, I am looking at alternatives. Wish there had been a bit more information around how it was determined that this patient was a good candidate for this procdure.
