I am not addressing this comment to anyone specific, and almost hope that the mods lock this before any replies can cause problems.

I love Rule 11 (and the other rules come to that)

I have no problem taking on board the simple concept that this is a Forum where health issues are discussed etc without including religion. That's simply the way Peter has made it. Peter's actions in setting up this Forum have been of a colossal benefit to me and so many others, and I think that one way of showing that we appreciate that fact is to stick to his rules when we post.

For those that want to, or need to, discuss the role of religion and their faith in their journey through the PCa "minefield" I humbly sugegst that they opt to do it on another forum: simply try using a search engine such as G**gle to find an appropriate one (I just tried and had no problem finding something else).

With my best wishes to you all.

I third the motion.
I retired from 26 years of military service, 4 years ago.
My last three years I was designated in writing as the
Commanders Representitive on all matters reguarding,
sexual harrasment, diversity, EO, and EEO.  This position
required training both military and civilain.

This is NOT the forum for any discussions on
sexual orientation, race, religion, or creed.

This forum is for us to support each other with
PCa, and nothing else.  We are struggling with
enough already.  We have many different back grounds,
our common ground is PCa.

Perhaps I missed something -- I'd not noticed this being a problem, at least not in the past many months. But, I know lots goes on here I miss out on.

That said, and in general, I agree and totally agree with Sagittarian's comment that, "This is NOT the forum for any discussions on sexual orientation, race, religion, or creed."

However, there is a difference between discussion of something and it being mentioned. Life isn't as simple as we'd like it to be and the power of the mind to control, or at least influence, our physical being for some individuals is clear. That others can't, aren't able, to replicate that relief doesn't make it invalid for those that can. Why can't we simply respect them and their journey?

I think Peter and the moderators are doing an excellent job of handling touchy issues.

And, Alf, with all due respect, I think your post (which you recognize as being contentious) is ironically typical of the very sort of post you decry.

Rather than lock this thread, I'd suggest the moderators delete it altogether.

Sheldon. Sorry if my post appeared contentious. It was perhaps a slight mistake on my part to say that I was not addressing it to anyone in particualr given I only posted it in respose to my dismay at logging onto the forum today and seeing that the mods had had to lock yet another thread due to a breach of the rules.
