Perhaps I missed something -- I'd not noticed this being a problem, at least not in the past many months. But, I know lots goes on here I miss out on.
That said, and in general, I agree and totally agree with Sagittarian's comment that, "This is NOT the forum for any discussions on sexual orientation, race, religion, or creed."
However, there is a difference between discussion of something and it being mentioned. Life isn't as simple as we'd like it to be and the power of the mind to control, or at least influence, our physical being for some individuals is clear. That others can't, aren't able, to replicate that relief doesn't make it invalid for those that can. Why can't we simply respect them and their journey?
I think Peter and the moderators are doing an excellent job of handling touchy issues.
And, Alf, with all due respect, I think your post (which you recognize as being contentious) is ironically typical of the very sort of post you decry.
Rather than lock this thread, I'd suggest the moderators delete it altogether.
