In your area it would be great to attend a sminar with Dr. Sartor. He appears to be one of the top PCa oncologists.

If anyone is in the Atlanta area, there are monthly seminars conducted by the group that pioneered brachytherapy with IMRT. Though I didn't choose them for my tretment, I have attended the seminars and they are very informative. Frank Critz MD founded the group that performs Prostrcision.

Dr. Sartor at Tulane is one of the leading Prostate Oncologist in the world. He is one of the Drs I saw at Dana Farber, before he was a Tulane. He specializes in advanced when conventional protocols fail.

Good to here that.   I have learned a lot about him about him since I was dx and have figured I would probably see him if things get dicey.

Any one out there that sees Sartor?   I would like to hear of you experiences with him.

I have seen Dr Sartor both before and after my RRP. He was surprised that my gleason 9 was still contained, with negative margins.

He was against me taking Lupron post surgery. But since last year at this time, there has been a lot of evidence that early use of HT in situations like mine has benefits.

Time will tell.

But I'm still glad that I am now an existing patient of Dr Sartors..........just in case.

kbota,  How difficult is to find to Dr. Sartor's office?  To give you some perspective, I recently got lost on Canal St. in Milton, Fl, a town of 7,000.   I'm only a three hour drive from NO and would like to have him as a backup if needed.

For me, nothing is easy about getting around in the big easy, but Sartor is in the Tulane Medical Center which isn't to bad really. especially if you have a decent GPS.

Feel free to email me, and I can tell you who to talk to, along with good phone numbers. When I first started trying to get in to him, it was proving to be difficult. To make a long story short, my uro helped me get ahold of his office manager, along with his cell number. His office manager is very helpful, and scheduled me at a perfect time.

I can help you get in touch with her.
