I used Dr. Justin Lee for my RRP 3 weeks ago (6-15-11) . I have nothing but good to say about
him. He gave us as much time as we wanted to ask questions and he really did a good job explaining everything. He was trained by Dr. David I. Lee (ck google), and has done over 1900 RP's with Da Vinci. He's 42 years old and his usual week is 3 RP's on Monday and 3 on Wednesday. Da Vinci RP is all he does.
I was walking w/o pain the same day and was out watering trees after 2 days. I hooked the cath bag on the inside of a 5 gallon bucket and took it wherever I went without any discomfort, unless I coughed. Off point, but that bucket was also handy for carrying a book, phone, and snacks, leaving a free hand for my drink. I took no pain meds, except Tylenol after the 2 hour drive home from the hospital. I am walking 5-6 miles a day on hills without any problems. I'm still a litttle incontinent when standing, squating, that sort of thing. I'm not supposed to be doing anything until after 4 weeks, but off the record, there are no ED issues.
The USMD Hospital is doctor owned and seemed more like a hotel than a hospital. The nurses and even the housekeeping staff said that all of Dr. Lee's patients do really well. A friend of mine had his done by Dr. Waguespak in March 2011. He had excellent results also and said Dr. W has done over 600 RRP's. Dr. Lee and Dr. W are part of the same group. You can reach Lee's profile from the above link and clicking USMD-Arlington.
This is my first post on HW but I have really appreciated all of the advise and wisdom that I have gotten from it since being DX in March 2011. There are some really sad stories that make you appreciate how lucky you can be if everything goes well. Thank you to all of you who contribute.
