Hello folks,

Last Monday, I had my first PSA test since my RALP surgery on June 9th, putting me about 6 1/2 weeks out.  It took a few days longer to get the results back because they had to send my blood off to a "reference" lab for testing.

Well, my doctor just called me with the results.  She told me my PSA came back at less than 0.01.

Celebratory drinks for all and this round's on me, fellas!

Hi John

Congratulations. I am hoping for a similar result in about 4 weeks. Well done, it must be a relief. I guess from here on in these test results will always be a bit of an issue for us.

Congratulations John, other than age our pre and post surgery scoring and stats are very similar. My URO has scheduled my first PSA for Aug 30 and my RALP was the day before yours. This waiting is killing me as I want to join the 0 club while there is till room to get in, so when I see the doc this week on my ED issues I am going to press for that first PSA now. So John please leave the door open for me smilewinkgrin thanks!

ArmyGuy,

It's all in the way the request is made to Tricare by your Urologist.  The request has to be worded correctly.  If you e-mail me (by accessing my profile), I can send you further details on how my request was pushed through the system.

HD_Rider, your email is not shown but I've made mine visible in my profile. If you would kindly share the magic wording lol I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

HD-Congrats on the Zero Club membership!  Been away for a few days and just saw this...better late than never.  Now all you have to focus on is getting that new HD out for a ride, imagining it will be in this month?  Take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy life!

HD_Rider, I don't mean to be a pest but I'm approaching the desperation level you were at when you posted your thread on 5/7/2011. Would greatly appreciate learning how you finally got yours approved at your earliest convenience.

Your email is not visible in your profile but I've made my email visible in mine. Thanks!

Someone asked in a previous post if all this stuff is worth it. Surgery, recovery, catheters, kegels, etc.

To me, hearing those results <.01 made it all worth it to me. I would do it all again to hear those results.

Congrats ! I know how good it feels. Good luck on the rest of your recovery.
