Welcome. For me I went in distinct stages. 1) At first, dry at night but had trouble making it to the bathroom without dripping a lot -- almost immediately. 2) Dry in the morning. 3) Dry in the evening. 4) 99% dry but had to remember to clinch my PC muscles when standing up from a plush chair or couch or getting out of the car to avoid a drip .. no pads anymore.. 5) Dry without even thinking about it anymore .. no drips.
Progress was not linear. Not much progress for a while, but then, almost in a couple of days, dramatic improvement, and so on.
I was preparing to go to work one day, and .. made a decision .. no more pads .. got rid of the security blanket. I never wore one again.
I echo what others say .. do those kegels. And, everyone is different. Try not to compare. Focus on your own progress. Be patient. Things will get better .. often when you least expect it.
