I had the open RRP and it took me about 10 weeks to archive total
continence. I did my kegel exercise as advised by my MD and did a lot of
walking. The result was very rewarding and continence seems now as normal and
natural as it has been before my operation.
Remember however, that we are all a bit different in the recovery, but to
the best of my knowledge, continence once achieved, is as normal as it always
was with no conscious effort required.
