What a great and funny report. For those of us that have been there can really appreciate the report. LOL

It takes a bit of doing to zero in on the best dose. Congrats on success.

It is amazing how simple it is to do the injections.

I too enjoyed the minute by minute story, but didn't we have a similar discussion at GFMPH?

One of our HW members who recently moved into an apartment building full of 40 something divorcees and this predicament has pushed him over the injection objection question as he is now trying this wonder drug. scool I think success stories like this was one of the reasons he decided to stick himself, but more likely the supply of 40 something divorcees was the defining factor.

It also seems the right full wood dose for ll of us in so different. It took me over a month to get to my full wood dose of .70ml which leaves me with over an hour of full wood. This has got me thinking tonight may be Trimix night, smilewinkgrin but no minute by minute diary posting here from me. nono   If my wife were to read it I most likely would have no need to inject in the future smhair

I can speak with experience that, yes, trimix is wonderful. But without the libido to match, it is a mixed bag. I was amazed at how much of "sexy feeling" is pure chemistry. Knock out the testosterone (HDT), and though there is something going on physically, there is almost nothing going on mentally (where it counts, IMHO). Anyway, I "overdosed" one time, and got worried---three + hours of wood and I jumped into the jacuzzi to soften. It worked, and what a RELIEF! I thought I would have to embarass myself and check into an ER!!
Gleason 9, RRP 2/2007. PSA rising, Lupron not working any more. Now on Provenge and crossing my fingers!

Great post and story. I am not an injector, but I am sure that this post will open a lot of eyes to it's potential and possibilities.

Yeah, totally endorse and relate all you have reported. 3 weeks ago after disappointing 3 years of believing my uro and trying V, C and L and resisting the needle, trimix has been a revelation. No pain or significant bleeding from needle, just a dull ache from the prostoglandin. As mentioned above, libido is still a factor in it, which has meant getting the right dose has been a little tricky. Now I think I have the dose and techniques to manage a 1.5 hour woody. And yes, I did experience a secondary erection last time but chickened out for fear of having to take that trip in an overcoat to the hospital! Next time I may get more adventurous! I feel now that time is on my side and I hope the physiological changes I have felt may even make Viagra closer to viable one day.

Thanks for all the info and glad it worked so well for you.

I've never seen anyone mention the cost of TriMix per injection. And what is the shelf life of the drug?

Can anyone offer a ballpark figure of what the cost might be per episode? Thanks.

In New Zealand I am getting the kit for $10 per shot (that's about $US8), well worth it. I am getting advised that 10 a month should be the maximum, any advances on that?
Must be kept refrigerated, maximum 12 weeks I was told.

Clocknut,

You're asking the right guy. these are my numbers. $80 for 5.0ml.
Figure 0.2 ml for an injection so the bottle is good for 25 shots!
Some guys take more I got up to 0.7 ml (7 shots from a bottle) and it was still not enough. I now have double strength.
Another guy on this forum (I'll let him tell it) only uses 0.05 ml (100 shots per bottle). He said that amount is so small all he has to do is wave his "equipment" over the bottle and he gets hard. ;-)
Storage life: they say, refrigerated: good for 6 months. Frozen: "much longer". The above mentioned guy with the 0.05 ml used 1 year old frozen stuff with that spectacular resullt.
Do not take it with Viagra! I had a bad reaction at the doctor's office that required an IV.
Enjoy,
J

Clock (And WG),

I'm one of those guys who can use 5u and still be good for 2+ hours. 10u is good for just 4 hours with no heroic measures to bring it down. Funny that the Uro started me with 30u !! Yeah that one was a challenge to put out that fire, but managed to do it.

Also, I believe, although I could be mistaken, that if, say at 3 hours you manage to get a softy for a little bit (and then you go hard again), don't keep time from the beginning, keep it from that last time you went soft. Anytime you get bendable it means you have some significant blood exchange going on so you aren't starving the tissue.

Anyone else get any advice on lulls in the erections as a reset of the 4 hour clock? I suppose most Uros won't elaborate until you call and then if you mention any softies the Doc will take that into the calculation.

J - Interesting theory on the resurrected softies, don't imagine the uros would stick their necks on the line over that though. Would you like to be our test bunny? Reckoned I could have gone for another 1 hour session last week but I'm still learning about this stuff.

Sounds great!!...

In the UK we only get the Caverject and in my case I get stiff except for the head is still abit spongy.
Does the trimex fill the head as well?
Thanks

Wait! Wait! Wait! Let me make sure I read that correctly.....
"say at 3 hours you manage to get a softy for a little bit (and then you go hard again),"
You're killing me here! I mean... Oh, what I'd give for 10 minutes... Heck, even 5! :-(

I use .25 and that is good for a couple of ours. I tried a smaller dosage but it doesn't last long enough.

You must have different strength trimix. We started with a conservative 0.3 and started to get some real action from 1.0ml up. Got as high as 1.5 but 1.2 seems about right with good stimulation. Not game to try 2.0 ml which is the high dosage recommended on this pack. Reckon the big difference with the trimix over bimix and cialis is the top 2 inches is way harder and it stays hard for a good 1.5 hours.

That was a great story. Congratulations on the outcome. I'm at 36 units and my doc said I could go up to 40. 36 is barely enough, and after reading your story I might go for the gusto an try 40. And please repost more experiences, especially if you convince her to bring her friends or sisters over lol. But if I were you I wouldn't push my luck.

Congratulations on the success.
I was at my uro today for my 4yr RP followup ( < 0.01 still. Hoo yah!) and I'm trying a new bi-mix, 7.5 mg/ml Papaverine, 0.5 mg/ml Phentolamine (no alprostadil for me, thank you). Even at that level ( basically a 1/4 strength bimix), I'll start out with 0.05 (5 units) and work up, expecting 10 to be more than sufficient. With a 1/2 strength bimix, 5 units is right on the margin of way too much, and I want a little more margin of error.

My uro says as long as you've got some bendability, and it's not gone cold, you're pretty much OK, even past the four hour mark.

SkyDave,

Yes those two criteria nearing 4 hrs are most important -- bendable and not cold. Both easy to gauge too.

WG:
Sorry to torment you with the little piddling 5unit Trimix amounts (My Uro said it was Regular Strength Tri -- and did not even know what that translated to for PGE-Pap-Phen).

Come to think of it my new Uro pretty much didn't know squat about Trimix except where to shoot it in. No cautions about 4 hrs .. or every other day use .. oh well, that's why WE have to know this stuff ahead of time.

One thing about amount of Trimix vs Erectile Quality: I wonder how much BloodPressure comes into effect? We know HBP is a contributor of ED. My bloodpressure is pretty low 100-110/60-80 -- so that is probably a Good Thing.

I still also use the PUMP .. once daily -- not sure if that helps. We all keep saying it does. It sure helps in allowing maximum girth when Trimix does kick in.

"935-1035 gf begging for mercy i cant take any more she says im done i cant walk." That's GFMPH, incredibly so, but be kind, for her, too much, too often, might be too much of a good thing.
